Planning Vs Not Planning; What's Best for a Great Trip!
"There's a common saying out there that every 9 out of 10 concerns are unfounded"* and to mesh that into trip taking I feel as if this means yes, you should totally book that 5 star restaurant in advance, cause what if there is no tables available for walk-in seating, but, *Dramatic Pause* if you reserve too much of your time you'll miss out on those pop-up moments that make you feel like destiny is worth believing in.
So best answer after all the trips we've taken together, both unplanned and completely packed with as many steal-the-deal events we could cram in our schedule? I can confidently say there is nothing like a combination of both.
Dinner shows, concerts, 5 star restaurants, and tourist grabbing schemes might be best to pre-planned so there isn't a worry for securing tickets. Actually anything popular that has a finite amount of spots available should always be pre-bought, that's just common sense.
BUT for some sprinkle of whimsy, or a dash of unexpected class, or maybe even to just, add that razzle to your dazzle- playing "What Can We Spot" is always fun.
This involves just getting to know the area you're visiting.
Take a drive through the scenic routes.
Walk through the square to find some mom and pop shops that'll knock you're socks off before giving you new ones and a cavity with how sweet they are.
Those rental bikes or scooters you've always wanted to try-
*Another Dramatic Pause* RACE!!!!!TIME!!!!BABY!!!!
Let out that inner child and visit a park after ice cream, or go for a hike to be one with nature and don't forget the picnic basket or your bug spray.
That mouth-watering, tummy-rumbling scent that's just beckoning you like a cartoon scent hand? Chase it.
If life has taught me one thing the best things come from the places you least expect it and sometimes that means walking around and seeing where the wind takes you or finally reserving those tickets for that thing you've been wanting to try.
Travel like Life is just a series of choices you make to have the best time you can. There is no right or wrong answers as long as there is a smile on your face, and no one knows how to put it there better than your loved ones or YOU. So explore! Both in person and online to really get the best out of you're trip. Cause There's always time for everything when all you want is to make good memories.
